Brand Focus - Soap and Glory

Its not secret that I love soap and glory, I think I have pushed all my friends into buying something of theirs at some point. Of course they are known for their wonderful bath and body product, which are a staple in my bathroom and hand bag, my favourite being the breakfast club (the smell!!!). But I Think that their make up might be my favourite 'drugstore' make up brand at the moment.

1. One Heck of a Blot
2.  Solar Power
3. Super Colour Fabulipstick - Stain finish
4. Super Colour Fabulipstick - Matte finish
5. Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick

I love their powder, I personally love the look of powders, I know not everyone does. I think they are really soft and if applied nicely don't make you look cakey, at all. I mainly use this translucent powder under my eyes to stop my concealer moving from those bags, it has such good staying power and if applied in the morning I won't budge for a good few hours. My favourite thing about this is if you re-apply in the day, it doesn't look like you've piled stuff onto your skin, so natural! Recently I have really go into bronzer, I never payed much attention to it before, but it can really change you face. I love this bronzer, because it is has 2 shades, so you can create different looks, either take one or swirl them together. This doesn't have an orange tone, it leave you looking really glow-y, like you've just stepped of the airplane after a summer holiday. I am very pale, so I was worried that this would be way to dark on me but it is perfect, if you want it darker you can build it up.

If you have seen my pervious post 'The lipstick tag' you would have seen I have a lot of lipsticks, hoarder alert! But these two are constantly in my bag, I love having a bright colour with me, 'PomPom' is perfect it is a very hot pink,I don't suit bright bright reds I don't think, but this is nice as it give colour but is subtle at the same time so the whole world is not staring at your lips, I found it in a beauty crush video, and thank god I did! 'The missing pink' by name the missing pink by nature, I had been looking for a pink for ages and ages and I finally found this one, its perfect for so many skin tone, a lot of my friends have it now and it suits them all. This is by far my favourite product, I love the smell, application, packaging and colour. WIN WIN WIN! Okay last product is this 'gloss stick' it is very pretty but I'm not one for a little bit of tint I prefer fuller on colour so it wasn't the best for me, but I do think it will be really nice for summer when you don't want to be wearing heavy, heavy lipstick, so I'm glad I have it for the summery months!

Hope you enjoyed this kind of post! If you want me to do a product review of any of the products in more deatail let me know! I hope your all having a lovely week!

Get the look - Kylie Jenner

I love the Jenner girls style, I think it is so modern and fresh, and they have a way of wearing things that look effortless. I see a lot of posts that show you exact pieces  that they are wearing, and that good if you have the money to spend but I thought it would be more practical if I showed you how to get the look on the high street.

1. Jacket
2. Top
3. Pants
4. Necklace
5. Boots

This is from a mixture of New look, Topshop, Miss Selfridges and ASOS, and its all in a reasonable budget. I think the pants are a great investment, I love Topshop leggings, as they are such good quality and they always know what is going to be in style. I love the gingham print, its so popular at the moment and you know you will get tons of wear. The Jacket and the cami, are basically wardrobe staples, you can wear them to death, a leather jacket can go with post things and make a basic outfi look like you've put thought into it. This is the same with the necklaces, layering jewellery is very effortless but makes it look like you've thought about what you are wearing, clever. The boots are very basic so you would be able to get a lot of wear out of them, and if your anything like me, the heel is perfect as it is chunky enough not to make you wobbly!

Hope you liked this post and got some style inspiration. Let me know if you like the style of post or what you would like to see in the future.

Pastels On the Brain

I am so in love with pastels at the moment, they are perfect for the better weather hopefully to come in the next few months. I think adding pastels to a wintery outfit make it a great transitional outfit from gloomy rainy winter into the daffodil filled spring.

Misguided are an online shop that have so much to offer, they have great offers and all there prices are surprising low for the quality and styles you can get, I am super impressed with everything this band do. They also do pastels incredibly well, not in your face mint more like subtle and so wearable, so I have complied a top 3 pastel outfits and accessories from them to show you exactly how wearable and lovely the collection is.

Let me set the scene, I am currently on a spending ban, and writing about this is killing me! I need to buy all of these!!  I am loving the strappy heels at the moment and I think the pale colour will look amazing with a tan in the summer, I think I'm going to pick up a pair for my summer holiday, because I can just imagine waltzing round in them (reality, I'll come back on crutches). Little confession, I kind of have a dupe to these pink boots, I love them they are so cheap, but River Island do a pair basically the same but like half the price, here

I think pastel dresses are the prettiest things, and make you feel so girly. I love the play suits retro feel and the subtle pattern gives it some extra texture so that its different to other playsuits. I have a love of houndstooth as a patten and I love baby pink, so this dress was pretty much designed with my credit card in mind. I have nothing to wear this blue dress for, and that makes me want it more, it would be so so perfect for a summer wedding, or even a nice evening on holiday, I will have to come up with a really good excuse to buy it.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend, and if you've got any online shops I should look into, let me know below!!

A Little Idea

I had an idea whilst in a seminar, I wanted an idea how I would be able to help new bloggers (like myself) get more recognised with people in the Fashion - Life style - Beauty 'community'. I thought I would try and start a guest blogging series.

I've been think ideas and I think I am going to do '5 things I would take to a desert island'. This could be makeup, clothes or anything else. I think this is a good idea as it shows products or things people like, so it is a way to introduce yourself more to other bloggers.

If you would be interested you can comment below, or email me at eleanor.fearnley@hotmail.com or if you have anymore ideas like this let me know.

So Long, See You Tomorrow

You know when you haven't listened to a band for ages, and when you finally do again its like listening to an old friend and you feel like you should catch up with them 24/7? Okay, dramatics aside. I have loved Bombay Bicycle Club from the tender age of 13/14. In fact they were the first 'real' concert that I went to with my high school chums (not counting Kelly Clarkson or Joe Bros as real concerts, sue me).

Bombay Bicycle Club are a band that you know are in the industry for the music hard to find these day, they trial new sounds, EG not having one album remotely similar to the next. Just when you think they are settled as a band, 18 months of waiting for a new album have paid off. 'So Long, See You Tomorrow' evolved from the being on every Urban Outfitters/Topshop playlist, into having an electric-pop record showing that these boys cant effectively be any genre of their choosing.  Talk about self reinvention.

It is clear that front man Jack Steadman has clearly taken influences from his traveling and logically placed Bollywood sounds  into the album, particularly seen in the songs 'Feel' and 'Overdone', talk about a curve ball, it shouldn't work but of course it does magically sync into the whole album. However having changes in the overall sound of the band they still manage to keep the neat percussion in the song 'Luna', which is a lovely song lyrically. The song also shows Steadman and BBC album regular Lucy Rose perfect harmonies in there full glory (match made in heaven?!), she also features in the eerie 'Eyes Off You' which channels older albums and goes back to them and the stripped back piano.

My favourite song on the album, being 'Carry Me', it combines order with disorder, there is a restlessness and a feeling of uncertainly about the whole song. It really should be a horrible song, but its not in the slightest. All be it little has been put into the lyrics but the structure and constant rising and falling of tones makes it euphoric and so catchy that walking down the street will now have this as a backing track in your head.

The whole album uses the whole bands talent to the fullest, and it must be noted that without Steadmans' fragile voice, the album wouldn't be as intresting. The whole band are so well put together and gel into the unique sound album after album, maybe Bombay Bicycle Club should just be a genre in there own right.

You can find the album now on Itunes, listen to them on Youtube and see them chit chat on Twitter

The Lipstick Tag

Self confessed lipstick hoarder, I do love a good lipstick. I think they finish off every outfit and couldn't bare to go without it for more than a day. I have collected a fair few in my time, mainly high street orientated.

How many lipsticks do you own?
38, and probably more lurking in coat pockets and bags that have not been used for a few weeks.

What was the first lipstick that you owned?
The first lipstick I bought was No.7 - 'Grace'. I'd just started watching youtube beauty gurus etc, and loved FashionRocksMySocks, Rhiannon kept wearing and raving about this one lipstick, so me and my best friend got it straight away! - I now blame her for my slight addiction.

What is your favourite lipstick brand?
I am not that loyal to lipstick brands, I more or less will try any that I see a nice colour in, I think if you like the colour there is not harm in having to re-apply over in the day.

What is your most worn lipstick?
Since buying them, I always have either Soap and Glory 'Pompom' or 'the missing pink'. They are both lovely lipsticks, and well worth the price tag. I love all Soap and Glory make up, so long lasting and wearable.

What is your favourite finish?
Again, I don't really have one, I do like matte as its more natural looking for day time , but there is nothing wrong with a glosser look if you feel like it!

What was the last lipstick you bought?
Oh no, I cant remember. Maybe Diva by Mac that I bought at christmas or one of the 17 Stay Pout ones.

How many lip products do you currently have in your bag?
Like five, I have which ever has been thrown in there this week, probably never to be seen again.

What is your favourite red lip colour?
I love the Kate Moss 107, it's not a truce red, more of a purple toned red, which I think suits my skin tone so much better than an in your face red red.

How do you store your lipsticks?
At home I have them in an acrylic box, but right now I'm at uni so I shamefully have them all shoved in a clear sandwich bag, which is really glamorous!

Which lipsticks are you currently lusting after?
I don't have an in particular colour but I really want to try the Nars stick ones and any YSL one, because the packaging is to lovely, but I am trying to be good and not spend so I might have to sneak one of these on the birthday list.
